I think my old singing teacher from la talent school in burwood was one of these singers 😅 I was kid then
I can relate my workplace to this - unusual characters and madness!

So sad. Ugly Phil could’ve hosted that show for another 20 years. But the memories are great. 😍
As a kid I used to watch this show back in 90's in post war Croatia... I was so envy of them kids with rolerblades and ocean by the houses.... I could never figure out why are they sad... Back then i would kill for rolerblades.... Not to mention ocean... In my eyes they had everything... Nowdays I own motorcycle gs, great house, nice beemer and yet.. I come here to feel like a "poor" kid again

I wish i could listen to a backlog of the actual shows.
Probably in the archives of Southern Cross-Austereo.
@Thetuber83 I wonder if it's even possible to obtain things like that. If there was a digital station [for example] that played re-runs that you could listen to like it's 2003 again. They play re-runs of old TV shows 🤷♂️
@@anthonyreed480 2003? The hot 30 Started in 1996.
@@Thetuber83 Yeah, I know... I also know it was still a thing in 2003 as I'd use my cassette recorder to record my favourite songs 😎
Katherine , you will forever be a beautiful girl in my memory
Drazic..I fkn loved him back then😅
We watched this in Spain 💔🇪🇸!
“Rack off” The way to say “Fuck off” before the TV watershed on BBC 2
Jeez! How the hell did the Cast change THAT much, since Season 1? 😳 🤷🏻♂️ Plus, I always remember having a bit of a thing for Anita and Katerina lol
I actually was in high school when Heartbreak High was airing on TV in Australia (in the mid 1990s). I also remember that my younger sister also wanted to watch it but our mother would not let her because she thought that only people who were in high school (or older) [at the time] should be watching it. I had a TV in my bedroom back then though, so my sister used to sneak into my bedroom to watch it with me. I am not sure whether our mother ever knew that she was watching it or just did not mind because she was watching it with me.. I also remember that in my English class at school we were studying “TV and media” and as part of it, our teacher got us to do a study on the characters from Heartbreak High, as she knew that everyone in my class watched it.
3:00 the geriatric telling the Indian woman to stand still during the moment of silence 🤣

Welcome! You made it on the stage 4 ! "Watching random videos"
the year is 1997, in May. It's warm and sunny. You just got back from school and played outside with your mates. You come back inside to drink some nice fresh beverages made by mom and this song comes on. Life is good.
then you find out anita rooted a cooper, the sworn enemy of drazic!!!
👍
Life was sooo good.😊
So true !
Rack off lol
Wow nostalgia
Still funny in Dec 2021!
What happens?
Talking about cultural differences... So different from many American shows at the time that also dealtwith teenage themes. More similar to European series, I would say.
definitely- one of the reasons it became very popular in markets like the UK and Holland. For me, season 5 is really the peak of the series - most of the major players old and new (Anita & Drazic, Katerina, Mai etc.) are all in place and the writing is still consistently strong.
Exactly
In France, Heartbreak high was an enormous success for example.
True.I think this would have been around the time we had Clueless and Sweet Valley High. The ABC the year before had shown each week on a Friday afternoon a bunch of Ready or Not episodes which was a Canadian show but aimed at a younger market(I can only imagine what if on Fridays when HH was not aired they showed those at 6pm for the ones we didn't get in those early years or if for the teens it was used as a lead in offering for the teenagers).I forget what the UK/European equivalent would have been.
watching this show gave me a sense of what I had to expect when I entered High School.
Gotta love our Aussie commercials, thanks for the memories.
We love the Woolworths fresh shopping videos!!!!! Have smacked a like on your video!!!! Good times!!!!!! Yayyyyy
